1. prevalent (adj.)流行的；普遍的
Definition: common at a particular time, in a particular place, or among a particular group of people

Ex: These diseases are more prevalent among young children.

Definition: the first example of something, such as a machine or other industrial product, from which all later forms are developed

Ex: The prototype of this particular computer was developed by an American in 1975.

Definition: very unlikely to be true, and difficult to believe

Ex: The idea of travelling to other solar systems may sound far-fetched but scientists now see it as a real possibility.

Definition: the act of rising and floating, or making someone rise or float, in the air without any physical support

Ex: There are many supernatural motifs such as flying carpets and levitation in the book.

Q:Are the speaking and listening tasks difficult for you? 

     Yes, both of them are difficult. I think the front part it's easier overall because it just looked at the words and review on the test paper. And I feel more difficult in the later part. Although I have some time to think about what I want to say, it’s a bit difficult to express my thoughts in English immediately.

Q:What are the challenges you often face when you listen and speak in English? 

     Although I learned English when I was little, I didn't have many opportunities to speak in English. As for listening, It's not very good since childhood. In other words, I usually don't like to chat with people I don't know, so it’s difficult to use Chinese conversation, not to mention English. I know I can't continue this way. And I also want to improve my English skills in all aspects. I want to increase my listening by preparing for TOEIC and try to talk to others to improve speaking skills. Believe that continuous practice and experimentation can get better and better.

#1 My plan this year

     New semester is coming! And I have two goals want to be achieved. First, because I often do things half way and give up before, I want to try harder and passionate about everything this semester. Second, I plan to take TOEIC and Book Keeper these months. Hope I can accomplish these goals this year.
